"Sounds from a town I love" (Woody Allen)

This is a short film from Woody Allen and is part of the "Concert for New York City: Live", an event that took place shortly after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. David Bowie, The Who, Jay-Z and other artists participated in the event. Short films were made for the occasion by New York filmmakers as Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese.

"If you hate it, I'll try to make it up to you somehow in the future." (Woody Allen)

Guerilla Girls

"In 1985, a bunch of female artists, incensed by an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art that included 165 artists but only 17 women, founded the Guerilla Girls. Dubbing ourselves «The Conscience of the Artworld», we started making posters that bluntly stated the facts of discrimination and used humor to convey information, provoke discussion and to show that feminists can be funny. We assumed the names of dead artists, and began wearing gorilla masks when we appeared in public, concealing our true identities and focusing on the issues rather than on our personalities."

Couldn´t think of a better introduction, my apologies, but I hope you enjoy their work.
